Special Note: For the month of April the Museum of the Albemarle will not have our monthly History for Lunch program. Instead, the museum, in partnership with Food Bank of the Albemarle, will be hosting Empty Bowls of the Albemarle.
Empty Bowls of the Albemarle is an annual event designed to create a greater awareness about hunger in northeastern North Carolina, through programs offered by the Food Bank of the Albemarle. This event will be held outside on the museum's portico.
Tickets are available for the Preview Party and Silent Auction, which includes entry to the luncheon on the following day. Or, tickets can be purchased for the Empty Bowls Luncheon only. Each ticket holder may select one piece of handcrafted pottery made by local artisans and arts education programs to take home as a keepsake and reminder of the many empty bowls across the Albemarle area. (Note that while a ticket to the Preview Party includes the Luncheon, only one bowl redemption is available). Tickets may be purchased in the gift shop of the Museum of the Albemarle, or online via Food Bank of the Albemarle.
