History for Lunch: Enemy in Home Waters - How World War I Came Home to North Carolina

Tane Casserley, research coordinator of Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, will be our guest speaker for History for Lunch on Tuesday, March 6th beginning at 12:15 pm. Mr. Casserley will discuss the effects of World War I on North Carolina, and guests will hear the story of brave Americans who went up against Germany's underwater weapon, the U-boat, and NOAA's recent work to honor and document these nationally significant shipwrecks off our coast.

This program is free and open to the public. You are welcome to bring a lunch.
