Hear ye! Hear ye! The Museum of the Albemarle will open its new interactive family exhibit, Discover Colonial Life, with a public program on Wednesday, Jun. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE and open to the public.

Discover Colonial Life explores life in northeastern North Carolina during the American Revolution. Experience living history demonstrations, interact with colonial historians, and engage in hands-on activities as we celebrate the exhibit opening and commemorate America 250, North Carolina. Visit a petting zoo from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and enjoy a special musical performance by the Fifes and Drums of York Town at noon. Preregistration is required for groups of 10 or more.

America 250 NC is North Carolina’s commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary and is led by the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. For more information about America 250 NC, visit america250.nc.gov.
