Visit our Back to 1970s Christmas room dedicated to the decade that transformed and propelled us into the present. Throughout the 70s, one constant was families celebrating the holidays. Two themed rooms are set up with conversation pieces to reminisce and discuss these changes still being felt.

Watch our Albemarle Express HO scale train as it travels around the Albemarle region, making stops at county landmarks in each of the 13 counties our museum serves. You can also receive a keepsake bell!
Come dressed in 70s attire, take photos in front of our 1970s disco-ball-themed tree, make 70s-themed crafts, and participate in games and other groovy happenings! There will be activities for all ages to enjoy.
