Experiences to Choose From Self-Guided Tours Exhibits All exhibits are designed to be self-guided and enjoyed at your own pace. Explore the feature exhibit, “Our Story,” which offers visitors the chance to discover the unique history of the people and the land of the Albemarle Region. Audio Tour MOA Mobile Over the past few years, visitors have entered our doors and encountered exhibits showcasing in-depth interactives, highlighting events, experiences, and much more at the museum. Visitors can continue to enjoy the flagship feature of Our Story: Life in the Albemarle Audio Tour, which features over 30 stops. This tour allows guests to learn detailed information about the Our Story exhibit text and artifacts, as well as special spotlights on individuals throughout the exhibit. CARTifacts Gallery Carts Gallery Backpacks Drop-in-Friday Presented periodically in our galleries. See the second-floor reception desk if one is available during your visit. Children can check out backpacks filled with extra enhancing activities to subjects presented within Our Story. Check out a backpack at the second-floor reception desk. Drop in the museum to enjoy a featured program or activity Fridays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This program utilizes storytelling, activities, costumed interpretation, or demonstrations. Programs will vary from week to week.
