Exhibits

All exhibits are designed to be self-guided and enjoyed at your own pace. Explore the feature exhibit, “Our Story,” which offers visitors the chance to discover the unique history of the people and the land of the Albemarle Region. Groups may register for specialized tours and programming, subject to availability, by scheduling reservations at 252-335-1453.

Over the past few years, visitors have entered our doors and encountered exhibits showcasing in-depth interactives, highlighting events, experiences, and much more at the museum. Visitors can continue to enjoy the flagship feature of Our Story: Life in the Albemarle Audio Tour, which features over 30 stops. This tour allows guests to learn detailed information about the Our Story exhibit text and artifacts, as well as special spotlights on individuals throughout the exhibit. The audio tour experience can be accessed by visiting the website MOA.OnCell.com or by calling the OnCell narrator at 252-548-6213.

Discover Colonial Life

In commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, this interactive, immersive space allows families to explore colonial life in northeastern North Carolina between 1750 and 1800. The room is divided into four sections, focusing on farm life, maritime life, town life, and home life. Each section features a colorful wall mural depicting the region as it looked during the Revolutionary era.
